Dear Sir or Madam,
My name is Zhang Hong, and I am glad to tell you that I want to join the summer camp. I want to improve my spoken English and listening English according to this activity. I have a great interested in seeing the English movies and singing English songs. I like play games, that is my hobbit. Also, I can play the piano well. I think I’m really friendly and outgoing, so I want to live in a friendly host family too. I make sure that I could have a great fun with my host family.

My English teacher, Mr. Jones, is a middle-aged man with thick glasses above his nose. We all like his classes, for he is always very active and has many ways to make his lessons lively and interesting. After class, he often plays table tennis with us. And at night, he usually works late and prepares the lessons carefully. When we told him that we had passed the entrance examination of senior middle school, he Was so happy that he jumped like a child. We all get along well with him. All of us still miss him very much after we have left the junior middle school.

During the holiday I took part in a special summer camp with my classmates. There we made some new friends. They were senior students from Canvey, a town on the Themes, which is to the east of London. As hosts, we showed them round many places of interest in Beijing, such as the Palace Museum, the Great Wall and the Summer Palace and told them about the changes that have taken place in Beijing. And they said Beijing was quite different from what they had heard of and it was very beautiful. Meanwhile, we improved our spoken English with their help. I think the summer camp is very valuable.
